California visit with friends and family - Kristi's Wedding shower
April 4th to April 14th 2025
San Francisco Marina District was the start of my journey to spend time with our son Michael and his Girlfriend Julianna for the weekend.
While they both worked from home that Friday I decided to walk and explore the area.
First stop Palace of Fine Arts: With its Greco-Roman grandeur and stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, The Palace of Fine Arts is easily San Francisco’s most iconic venue. Originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, this Marina District venue is truly stunning in appearance and scale—offering 140,000 square feet of open event space, multiple breakout rooms, and an expansive mezzanine that overlooks the entire main floor.
I felt like I was in Rome Italy as I was walking through the grounds.

Next stop Crissy Field!! Crissy Field is a public recreation area on the northern shore of the San Francisco Peninsula in California, United States, located just east of the Golden Gate Bridge. It includes restored tidal marsh and beaches.
During the 1920s, the U.S. Army Air Service established and operated a key coastal defense air station on Crissy Field, the military's first Air Coast Defense Station on the Pacific coast.

The next day Michael and Julianna took me on a nice hike to an area called Lands End
Lands End Trail is a perfect introduction for those visitors to San Francisco looking to get outdoors and experience hiking in California. This coastal trail offers stunning views over the famous Golden Gate Bridge as well as the peace and quiet of simply being in nature. What an awesome time with these two.

After a great weekend with Michael and Julianna I spent the next few days with my friend Siobhan at her beach house in Aptos CA. We got pampered with a “fruity” Pedicure, went to a succulent farm and long walks on the beach. Friendships are so important to upkeep and nurture. Thank you Siobhan for a fantastic few days.

A stop at Pebble beach at Roy’s was one I was glad not to miss. They have the most amazing outdoor spot overlooking the Ocean.

Next Hubby and I met up in San Jose at Santana Row where our son Paul Jr. and fiancé Kristi have their Apartment with Goose their 6 month old Red Fox Retriever. Oh what a cute puppy. Those eyes !! How can anyone say no to that boy.

Kristi’s Bridal Shower

Our future daughter in law’s wedding shower took place at her parent’s home in Scotts Valley CA. What a beautiful day for a Bridal shower Tea party. Both Kristi and her mom Kathy organized the day, which turned out absolutely perfect. The fascinators were a great touch. Dad Mike got to assist with wrapping paper removal :)
Everyone had a great time!!

Goose decided to crash the party!!!

Goose loved the company in the back seat of the car. So did I!!! xoxox On our way to meet Michael and Julianna for brunch. Goose under the table waiting for anything to “accidentally” drop his way. How to say no to those puppy dog eyes.

Family time is precious and we appreciate every minute we get with our kids.
