California Birthday celebration with family and friends and Andrea Bocelli

What a great way to spend a Birthday!! Family, Friends, and Andrea Bocelli!!

First stop Incline Village Nevada

Incline Village Lake Tahoe is named for the Great Incline Tramway built by loggers in 1878. Today, Incline is home to some of Lake Tahoe's most stunning mountain retreats. This eastern North Shore enclave features some of the areas most relaxing beaches and a genteel approach to Lake life. Incline Village, Nevada, is known for attracting a number of famous residents, particularly in the tech and sports industries.

We spent time with our friends Sean and Karen while we were there. Thank you guys for a delicious dinner and a wonderful evening.

Out for beautiful and breathtaking hike with “guide Sean”. This 4.1-mile point-to-point trail near Incline Village-Crystal Bay, Nevada is generally considered a moderately challenging route. We loved it so much Sean talked us into doing this twice.

Paul and I also enjoyed a nice drive along Lake Tahoe. We were so fortunate with the weather while we were there.

Next stop Wine country Santa Rosa/Napa/Sonoma where we met up with our kids and their ladies. Oh how we enjoy time with the family. From hanging out at our Air B&B in Santa Rosa CA to Wine tasting at Sattui Winery to Andrea Bocelli concert at Charles Krug Winery we had a most fantastic weekend with the family.

Andrea Bocelli is one of my all time favorite artists. Being able to experience this with our kids is priceless.. Thanks to my hubby for making it happen. xoxo

About 9,000 people descended upon Napa Valley, California, over June 20th weekend for a once-in-a-lifetime experience featuring one of classical music’s most successful singers, Andrea Bocelli. It was absolutely magical. Bocelli is perhaps the world’s most well-known classical musician. He has released 18 albums, collaborated with pop and opera stars alike, and has toured the globe.

Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our kids on Sunday (that work thing got in the way) :)

We spent the afternoon at Safari West in Santa Rosa CA, (the Serengeti of California) This will prepare us for the upcoming African Safari next year. It was a lot of fun and really well done, with it being in California.

Paul and I continued on to Russian River in Sonoma county. We spent a day driving along the coast, enjoying the beautiful California scenery.

Our trip to see friends, family, Andrea Bocelli concert was truly memorable. California is a beautiful scenic state to visit and enjoy. Even though we lived near San Francisco, raised our kids here we are still in awe of this beautiful state when visiting. This state always provides something new to discover and enjoy.

I absolutely loved my Birthday week in California. Thank you all for organizing this weekend, spending time as a family, the beautiful gifts and cards and any other special touches to make this absolutely special. xoxoxo Love you all so very much.
